Helles

Helles are full-flavored and full-bodies with a golden color and tastes like lightly toasted grains. This style emerged in Munich during the 1800s and was brewed by Spaten brewery mainly to compete with the more famous German beer, the Pilsner. Some brand names of Helles are Weihenstephaner Original, Hacker-Pschorr Münchener Gold, Augustiner-Bräu Edelstoff and Spaten Premium Lager.
