The range in thread count can go as high as almost 2000 thread counts and this is possible with Egyptian sheets that are very much tightly woven. What makes the Egyptian sheets better than the rest is that they are densely woven and their fabric is softer. The denser the cotton fabric is, the softer it is as well. Another good thing about these sheets is that they allow the air to easily pass through so the users can breathe well and will not be suffocated.
Because these sheets are of top quality, do not be surprised if they come in a higher price than the rest of the cotton sheets. The fact that Egyptian cotton has to be imported from Africa contributes to the high price of Egyptian sheets. Another factor is the excellent workmanship in making these luxurious sheets. Their high price certainly comes with good reasons.
